LF Stock Advice From Wrasse Guys

I know there's a big sub-section of you guys (gals) that keep and love wrasses. I've personally never kept them before and I'm looking for something very specific I'm hoping to get some ideas.

1) Brightly colored
2) Reef safe
3) Will leave snails alone
4) Peaceful - This is a big one for me, I hate tank bullies and am trying to put together a super chill stocklist

Anyone have any recommendations on a few wrasse that are good candidates? I've got a 4x2x2 reef tank.

Fairy wrasses are some of the most colorful ones out there and are all reef safe as far as I know. @evolved has a chart floating around in the forum that goes over wrasse species, tank requirements, and aggression levels.

I have a 75G tank and have three wrasses currently. I have an ornate leopard wrasse, golden rhomboidalis wrasse, and a pintail wrasse. There’s no aggression among them and they are all quite happy. Just make sure to have a lid since they are big jumpers!

Exquisite, pink margin, pintail, solorensis, and lubbocks fit the bill.

Well fell in love with the pintail until I saw the price tag... WOWZA! However the lubbocks is quite stunning as well and more affordable.

You can always get a female pintail. Not as flashy from the start, but they eventually transition from female to male and then you can have the beautiful appearance :)​

Thumbs up for the fairy wrasses. Mostly peaceful, colorful, not quite as likely to jump as the flashers and will leave your inverts alone.

Be sure to get yourself a lid or hood! Here you can see I put a hood on a new rimless aquarium. I had absolutely no desire to put a good over a brand new rimless tank but decided it was the best thing to do for the sake of the jumper wrasses, and they are all jumpers. With the hood, there have been no more jumper suicides.
