My LFS just moved and has been delinquent setting up there RODI system. I don't have my own filter. So all of my nano water changes start with the 5 gallon bucket of RODI once per week.
Now in a town of 100,000 people they are the only LFS. They don't seem too concerned. I know I need to get my own filter. I know.

BUT.... till then (What would you do?)

I know it is not ideal but can I use gallon jugs of distilled water from the grocery?

Or should I use spring water?

Kind of in a jam here

Distilled will work in a pinch. Many stores offer filling stations as well.

I advise testing the water with a tds meter to confirm. The store I'd get mine filled claimed it was rodi, but the tds was 150.

I’d do this for now or order an rodi unit off amazon prime. I’ve picked up a few from them over the years. My current Geek pure unit was around 130 I think

How urgent a situation are we talking? Because if you need to urgently do a water change then run to Walmart and get distilled. Or really tap water shouldn’t kill anything.

Distilled is great. Make sure to run an airstone in it for 30 min or so to ensure the PH is tank friendly.
