Morning all! I will be taveling to Seattle in June for work and will be staying at the Hilton downtown. I've never been to Seattle so that's the only reference point I can give... Anyhow, I was wondering if there are any LFS stores, with coral, within taxi distance.

Good representin' mfinn! +1 for Barrier Reef... but I may be a bit biased. :)

BTW, I live downtown... More than happy to grab a coffee and run you out there if ya want! :)

Maybe Skinz will chime in...

Sorry for the delay! Been pretty hectic! Might have to take you up on that. I'll message you a little closer to time. Should be in Monday through Thursday night.

I just returned from Seattle and Barrier Reef was a very interesting shop. They had a wide variety of corals and fish. Prices were not much different from here (Boise, ID) which I was surprised to find out.

Other than that, there are not many LFS that I could find in the Seattle area. I was a bit disappointed as I thought that a larger, import oriented city would be a hub for stores...but I was wrong.

Well, there's Barrier Reef (my fave), Denny's Pet World, Saltwater City, Blue Sierra, Sierra Fish and Pets, The Fish Store, Liem's, King's Discus, Red Sea... and probably a couple I'm forgetting. 9+ shops that sell a decent amount of saltwater stuff... didn't think that was THAT sad. :)

+10 for Barrier Reef, and yeah I would totally recommend hooking up with Bill, he knows the local scene pretty well. I gotta do the same one of these days when I get a chance to make the trip to the big city!
