advice plz. I need a lid for this 75 gallon tank. There will be 2 radions mount on the back along with the 2 returns. I’m not sure how what lid to do. I was thinking egg crate but then seen it reduces par by so much and then there is the diy kits with the netting. Which I was then thinking but would be quit difficult to do with 4 cut out. Was looking at Red Sea kit sense they have the pre cut outs.

It really depends on your budget. There are some sponsor here on R2R that make custom lids.

Hit up your local glass shop for two panes?

About 5% hit to par, drastically cuts evaporation (and thus heating), and any jumpers ain’t going anywhere.

You’ll need a mesh of some sort along the back around the returns if you’re trying to prevent jumpers, or be prepared to shell out a lot for glass cutting.

I’d only do this if running a skimmer to ensure you get gas exchange.

Yeh, glass cuts more than that.

Don’t want to use glass as that cuts off a lot of light and not much gas exchange
Do you have a sump? Also, any lid you place on your tank will cut par. I run glass lids with a large sump where most of the gas exchange happens for my reef. My par meter shows 15 par drop with glass
