I modified my Canopy for Lifting Cables, I want to install a Pulley System called a “Gun Tackle.” I don’t need something that’s super heavy duty, and will break the bank. Does anyone know of a source for a light weight pulley with two hooks? What this pulley is called?

Something like this

I’ve done this for my lighting but have it automated using a shade roller. Lights are mounted to an 80/20 aluminum frame and frame is attached to roller shade with SS bicycle cabling. Can raise and lower from a keypad or my phone since it’s WiFi enabled.

Could you also have your apex programmed to do it?

corey

Can you list the materials used? Pictures of your set up?

Would love to hear more about your setup/maybe see pics? I’m brainstorming a canopy for my 90 gal

Sorry, not sure how I missed these postings. Here’s a few pics. Have a video somewhere too. Materials are 80/20, some brackets, SS bike brake cables and the tubular motor. Got it from METECHS online.

And videos. I have 7 Radions XR15 mounted to the rack. Used M5 screws to mount the Radions. Screw into Radions and the heads fit perfectly in the slots so I can move them where I want.

Great stuff thank you for the media. I’m going to figure this into my plans. I’m trying to build a stand out of t slot for my 90 gal

Having the ability to raise and lower the lights is extremely valuable. With lights 8-10” above the water, getting into the tank to mount corals, scrape algae, move rock, etc would be very difficult if I couldn’t raise the light up and out of the way.
