I would like to have darkness in my reef so I was wondering how much darkness should I have? Right now all I have is a Bubble coral (green). I'm only planning to have is all soft corals generally SPS because I have a 29g. Any suggestions?

8 Hours on is the standard. So you can easily have 16 hours of darkness. I usually do 8 hours of full light and an hour ramp up and ramp down which could be your leds just being on for 10 hours.

Okay thank you and that should be fine with my Bubble Coral and for the future soft corals?

Also would the 14-16 hour of darkness be harmful to Derasa?

I have my VHO actinics come on around 10:30 am. The mh lights come on at 11 am and go off at 7:30. The actinics go off at about 8:30.
This is on my 240 softy tank.
