Light recommendations for a 50 gallon reef tank

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any lighting suggestions for a 50 gallon reef tank. I’m hoping to get something semi-affordable. My tank currently has a pretty cheap fluval light I got for free. My soft corals look ok, but I’m worried it’s not enough for LPS. I don’t really know where to begin when choosing a light and if I need one or multiple. I also don’t have anything to measure PAR. Wanting to know where to start. Thanks!

Do you have the 100 or 150? Not sure what I would need for my 50 gallon

I would go for the 150, even the 200 watts. I have 100 watts nicrew on my 32, I don't feel it would be enough for a 50 gallon. Better to have too much and turn it down, rather than not have enough.

The fluval light, in comparison, is about 50 watts, so not near enough for your tank.

I may have to remeasure but I think it’s close to the Standard Rectangle: 36"L x 18"W x 19"H
