Thoughts from the brain trust...
Have a cubish tank—actually a pentagon; 30”x30” on the long sides with a corer center overflow on the back wall that takes up quite a bit of space.
the lighted area is really only ~24”x18”
Been running 2 kessil a360we for a while and getting good growth in a mixed reef w/ sps on top.
Yesterday one kessil died.
Considering these options now:
1- Convert to Radion G5. I think one xr30 would work centered on top. Has great reviews...? the hype upmarketing some. I dont really like the mounting bracket and would probaly have better spread by hanging.
2. Convert to tried/true—ATI 6 bulb fixture. Consider adding reefbrite XHO for shimmer
3. wild card -Ap9x—- just released when light broke. A sign?! In theory an upgrade to what I have. Do love Kessil color but reputation for SPS not great (and getting more into acros)
