Light Supplementing

Do you use T5 , Vho , Led supplementing with your MH lighting? If so which lighting do you use , and how many hours a day? Do Led's supplement as good as T5 or Vho? Does supplementing brings out colors in corals?

i have tried them all and i still love the vho's nothing can compare imo.. there not as energy efficiant but they rock and when using the uvl super actinics there is nothing i have seen that pulls blue out of corals more...i run mine 8hrs a day with the mh on for 6hrs..

good to hear. i was told vho was great for supplementing. i am going to be upgrading my lighting soon, but right now i have 2x150 mh with 4x54 t5. could i be running t5 all day with mh ? would this help with color and growth?

Agree. I agree so much, that even after a fire this summer, which started from the crappy VHO wiring harness, I decided in my new setup to use VHO again.

But not the harness. I got Hamilton to custom build me a real VHO supplement with thick insulated cable and 3-prong plug.
