Light width?

That's a nice design regardless of your tank or lighting circumstance. :) It maximizes exterior rock space as well as swimming space for fish.

As for softies mattering one way or another in the scheme of things, no – stony, soft and leather corals all like more or less the same lighting. Anywhere from around 10,000-20,000 lux on up.

If you light things with a little creativity at the top, you mostly shouldn't be able to notice any effect very much underwater. :)
