Hi all,
Just got the photon 24-v2 pro. Set up a schedule from 9 am to 7 pm,
where the lights will go off at 7 Pm. Lights did go off, but 3 lights came back on a little while later. I used 3 segments? Was that enough? do I need to set up 24 segments so the lights stay off until 9 am tomorrow.
Also, on the side that doesn’t have the plug, there’s a plastic protrusion, is that a on/off switch. Thanks for all your help.

Show me how you setup the schedule... I can work out what's going on.

Thanks, jgirardnrg,
First of all the light is beautiful and the WiFi was easy to set-up
and really cool. Thx for the recommendation.
I set up royal blue, cool blue and violet as follows:
9 am start time at 5%, 10 am 20% and 7 pm 0%.
The white, red and green:
9 am 0%, 10 am 5% and 7 pm 0%. (I know these % are low but they suggest
starting low and increasing gradually). My objective is a 10 hour cycle, lights come on at 9 am, ramping up at 10 am, staying at ramp up % until 7 pm then all lights go off at 7.
thanks for yr help and sorry for being long winded.

Add a set point at 7:05pm to 0% and a set point at 0% at 6:55am and the lights will stay at 0 between those times. They're trying to ramp slowly between the 7pm and 7am settings and whatever you've got them set for.

There is no on/off switch on mine... if you have one, that's new to me.

Used your segment recommendation, worked great. Thanks. I was wondering, I’m a bit paranoid about leaving lights on when I leave the house for a short time. Can I use the manual override to shut lights down for a few hours. I have lights plugged in to a separate surge protector so I can switch them off, but I don’t think thats a good idea. Thank you

I'd just leave them running... mine have been running on their own for well over a year at this point. But yes, you can use manual override to shut them down for a bit.

24-v2 up and running, using leg mounts about 9 inches from water.
Starting slow, royal blue, cool blue and violet at 20%
white, ref and green at 5%.
I like blue look to tank. Thinking of eventually of blues and violet at 75%
other 3 at 10%. But I might change that with experiment.

I run the blues up to 70%, uv/violet up to 55%, whites max out at 15%, red and green 10%. I run the lights so they're all 30 inches off the bottom on the 3 different tanks. That puts the light 9" off the water on the 60 cube, 14 inches off the water of the 40 breeder and 18 inches off the 20g tank I use for coral quarantine etc.

Hi jgirardnrg, I just wanted to tell you that the Reef breeders 24 v2 is great.
thx for the recommendation. I’ve been testing the diff light combo’s and I
like the look of royal 70%, cool blue 30 and violet at 20. the other three are at zero. The light is about 10 inches from the water line. The tank looks great, I was just wondering if the corals are getting enough light. Maybe I’ll adjust them over time. Thx again.

Right now I'm running the royal and cool blues up to 70%, violet up to 55%, white 15%, green and red to 10%. I'll pull out the PAR meter when I get a chance and tell you what those numbers equate to in my tanks. I'm getting good growth in the mixed frag tank and everything seems pretty happy.
