Lighting for Nuvo Fusion Pro 2 40 gallon

My last tank was the IM Nuvo 40 aio. I had a few lights configurations ....

I tried 1 radion xr15 ....good for softies and LPS but not enough for sps except the montis. Montis grew great.

2 prime hds.... better than 1 XR15 and gave higher par . I could grow fuzzy sticks with these but the disco ball effect turned me off

1 XR30 with diffuser was my final choice. Good spread for the cube and no disco ball effect. Add a light shade and go with most corals.

You could go with 2 XR15 but you'll end up with 2 rms mounts and 2 power bricks to route.

Yeah I have 2 Primes over my 40 breeder mixed reef and I even have a couple acros. But i HATE the mounts that come with the Primes. I ended up modifying some Current USA mounts instead. I was leaning heavily towards the Radion but I'm really digging that Maxspect ! Thanks

You bet! It’s a good light. Absolutely silent. The fans only turn in when the fixture hits a certain temp. I’ve never heard them.

This is the first Fusion 40 without the weirs. For me that is max water level.

I ended up putting the Maxspect Jump led on it. It didn’t seem like enough light so after I tore down the old tank I put a prime on either side of the Jump. And I STILL have shadows!
