Lighting Ideas

So while I wait for my inside paint job and new flooring, I want to start a smaller tank to give myself something to do. It'll be something between a 20L and a 40B. I know what to pick up in terms of hardware, all except lighting. The goal is to keep LPS and a few SPS. Maybe a softy. In this case, I'm willing to go on the more inexpensive side. This tank will eventually become my QT, so perhaps the lighting choice will eventually become my Fuge light. Don't know if that's a possibility. LEDs are a mystery to me. TIA.
