Light question for those who know or own AI BLADE strips. I’m trying to find lights with no fans. The Blades seem like a good option. So far what I’ve been reading is the par can handle LPS and SPS. My tank is 70 long 16 inches high and 18 inches wide. I was think about getting one grow and one glow. Is that enough light or do i need three? Two glow and one grow of a different combo. I suffer from migraines and the fans on my Nicrews are bothering me plus the tank is in my livingroom. thanks for the help.

I cannot say exactly what the par will be, but I’m considering them for the same reason (sound and spectrum control, not migraines). I’m looking for very intense shallow water sunlight, and am considering 3 freshwater and one coral glow over a 48x24x24 tank.

I don't really understand I have an A1 prime it has a fan which never runs. I really did not play close attention when I bought it but is there an option in the set up where you can set the fans not to come on? I have another light same thing I am too lazy to investigate

My 50 gallon tank is 30” long 18” wide and 21” tall

I have one Blade Grow sitting on a glass top directly on my tank. I have large toadstools and mushrooms that grow like weeds.
I wanted to see how many I would need. You pretty much have the same size wide and depth. For lps and sps I was thinking I might need 2 or 3.

The Blades have passive heat no fans at all.

Why the fresh water ones and not the grow?

I want the light to look like a shallow water spectrum, not a deep ocean setting. I’ll turn down the red bump it has a bit with the app. The glow is to provide the uv. :)

Randy on a side note I am putting in a UV light on my RO tomorrow. As to the light I did not do any par readings with my Apogee but will if you would like. The set up is dead easy

No need for me, thanks. I’m confident the setup I’m considering has adequate par. I’m also considering similar lights from GHL and the ATI Straton pro.

I am thinking about new lights as I discovered mine wont do over 250. Who is ( I hate acronyms ) GHL and ATI ?

I have 2 grow Blades about 10 inch above the surface of a red Sea p700.
Half way the tank they give 200 par on these settings. Bottom around 100 par.
Below the surface should be around 300. Measured with vabira meter with flow on
