Lighting question

I have 2 lumen Brite large reflectors laying around and 3 galaxy 400 watt metal halide ballast if you decide to go that route. There just laying around taking up space

I've ran metal halide on every tank I owned from 2x 250 watts on a 65g to 3x 400 watts on a 185 with no heat issues ..with that being said I swapped to led recently and will never go back

I have the reefradiance light. And I have no issues growing stuff. Biggest problem I'm seeing with leds is getting the % of color mix right. Everyone gets there lights and cranks up the white. Everything bleaches and dies. If you go led keep them whites down. 10 or 15% until you figure them out. Even if they it looks like windex for a bit. I know for my budget I got a great light. No way would I go through changing 150 bucks worth of bulbs every year.

Oh Btw big sumps help with temp problems and a fan in your stand. My tank doesn't get above 79 all summer with no chiller. I am running leds though.
