I have a first gen AI Hydra 26 on my IM 25 Lagoon and I am just NOT happy with it. Tank is only two months old and I am in the "ugly" stage but the difference in lighting at the edges of the tank is night and day. I've messed with all types of spectrums and schedules and I think the light just isn't what it used to be.
I'm looking at the Nicrew Hyperreef 200 Gen 2. Is this a decent light? Is the 3 puck overkill?
Tank will mostly be LPS and mushrooms/zoas/palys. I do have a bubble tip anemone and a rock anemone. Current coral seems happy enough. Only SPS is an orange monti cap at the very top.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Have you looked into upgrading the lights via Luxdium? cheaper than a full new light set.
They provide a lens with a wider spread.

I have not! Had not even heard of them until now. I'll give them a look, thank you

Might try just a lens swap to start, It's less than $40 to get a wider spread. If you like the colors etc of the current light.

I'm just trying to ensure they're compatible. This is first generation Hydra 26 lol!

I think if they don't have screws in the lenses you're ok?

I have used a Smatfarm 95 and a Popbloom Ir90 on an IM 25 lagoon. Both are fine budget lighting, both will grow corals. Nicrew is another brand I hear good things about.
Currently I am using a Reef Breeders Meridian 11, completely different price range though.

Not to start another thread, I figured I would ask here. I am breaking down my 160 and will be starting a 25g Lagoon. I know most of my equipment won't transfer but would like to use what I can. Which lighting setup would y'all suggest. 2 Kessil A360XE's or a Radion XR30 G6 Pro? I'm going for an sps dominant tank.

I’m running one kessil on my IM50 but it’s currently just softies. I already know I’m going to be adding another and some light bars to supplement but for me, I love the look of my tank under kessils. Having said that my buddy is running radion and his still looks good. With either option you’d likely eventually need some fill light with shading but the radion would minimize that need for a long time.

For what it's worth I have the order in for the Luxdium cyan replacements. They were the NICEST people to speak with and were very helpful in guiding me through the color choices. I'm very excited to see what my Hydra is going to look like after the upgrade.
