Ok i have a 120 gallon tank 48x24x24 and i'm ready to purchase lights. I'm going to go with LED lights. The most i want to spend, well lol the most i can spend (wife has something to do with that) is $700.00. So far the lights i have been looking at are the Reefbreeder Photon 48 V2: https://www.reefbreeders.com/shop/photon-48-v2/

They are fairly new and have not heard or seen any reviews on them but are in my pricepoint. Can anyone suggest any other lights in that pricepoint that will be good for corals. Maybe SPS corals down the road?

Hi, yea Ive been looking at those too. One of the most powerful out there in a 48in model. It will grow high light sps and others btw. thin enough ti add t5 too if different spectrum is wanted, you likely wont need to add intensity. The other one Ive been looking at is the SBreeflights. well reviewed. same kind of power, great reviews as well. needs to hang a bit higher for the spread.

I looked at the SBreeflights. Looks like there is no 48" version and i like the slimline of the Photon V2 way better.

yea the sb should cove fine .and its not that much difference in width really (16in) but yea I do like the full 48" the V1 photon is pretty sweet still too if you can find them. I have the reef led tab open right now poking them.

if you go with LED,
I would suggest 2 hydra 26 HD would work for that size tank and is within that figures too. the hydra is the top light out there right next to the Radion

good luck
