Hello I need some suggestions on how high my lights should be from the water on my new shallow sps tank. It's the deep blue 80g hight is 16in. Now I will be using two 250w MH with 20k radium bulbs. Ignore the mess haven't done the final touches on everything yet.

12" above the water

I would start at 14-16" and drop from there. I had a 250 over a 30 gallon which I think was 16" deep and I had it at 10" above the water with no issues. A lot will depend on coral placement and spread but you'll probably end up around 12".
