Thinking about going with halide lights on my next set up, but investigating DIY type. My questions will most likely at rise as we chat more about it, but I'd like any suggestions (such as) ballast size, brand of bulbs,or actual housing ,wiring, ect. I have not you-tubed any vids yet about it.once I get a better grasp on the ideas I will. Thanks guys.

OK. I do a lot of aqua scape mostly due to my maintenance habits. So I'm needing a fixture that could easily be moved and adjusted

Most Mh lights are hung from chains. So it would be easy to use hooks to raise the chains.

Yes you could do the same with MH hang from chain's then use a S hook to raise them when you want to work on the tank.
