Anyone have any experience with limpets and how they handle algae?

Thanks

Are you talking about the small hitchhiking ones or the larger ones you usually have to buy? The smaller one's numbers can get out of control, but they clean up film algae and cyano like a champ. The larger ones I've had a little trouble with eating my coralline, but other than that they did a good job with algae. I didn't care for the white spots on my coralline, however.

They don't move very much, but they can make a dent in your algae, if that's what you're looking for.

I had a Elephant Limpet that grazed I even had them breeding like crazy.
They're black with a slit where you can see their shell.
I fed Nori sheets to my blenny and tang and I usually leave them in for my Mexican turbo snails and one night I caught mine eating on it so that steady diet was probably the reason mine mated.

I think I'm going to go buy a couple they got them at Inland Aquatics store here.
I got some that hitchhike on a rock last time but this time I'm just going to buy some.
They got this really good pod pack with this small mysid shrimp that what I narrowed it down too at least. That I can gut load with flake food and mandarins never run out of them if you let them populate for a few months.
Lol, I just go make a trip to there in a few [emoji39]

I love Inland Aquatics.
Yeah, they're not what they use to be, but from what I heard it was shutting down then he changed his mind so i guess that resulted in a lesser selection of saltwater stuff.
Idk exactly tbh but it pretty much all I got to choose from LFS wise beside Atlantis Aquatic Gardens.
