This one definitely has a little rock in it, but look at those colonies.

Beautiful. Do you have the denitrifying bacteria, like live rock, bio balls etc, in a sump ?

I sort of do it with my frag tank, I use little ceramic domes to grow zoas out. They are hollow and make perfect little homes for small fish like barnacle blennies, dottybacks, gobies etc.
Do you have pics of these ceramic domes? Sounds interesting

I don’t have a great pic of just the domes Full of coral as there is always so much in the way. But I buy the domes from reefcreators.com and leave one frag plug out typically for a fish home

You can see the zoas colonies on the bottom Glass are on the domes
