How to Deal With Trolls

1) Delay Reading:

This serves an important function of denying the Troll what it covets most: attention. By waiting a few days between reading replies, the action-to-reaction dynamic is diminished. The conversation exists in the past, and thus the reader has less emotional attachment to anything said.

2) Never Reply:

The goal of any troll is to appear to be the most important participant in the conversation. While trolls may inevitably converse among themselves, they can't be a part of your conversation unless you permit it with a reply.

3) Don't be Deterred:

There are always more lurkers reading than trolls replying. Know what it is you want to create and simply do so. Even if no one is reading now, there's always the archive.
