lobo and diatoms

Hi
i had a diatom out break over the last few weeks and its just starting to disappear now,
but around each lobo polyp is still brown , about 1 mm long .
is there anything i can do to get rid of it as the lobo is a bit withdrawn, or will its disappear along with the rest of the diatoms etc

Sorry about the quality , also i just turned the lights on so it hasnt started to come out yet.

Are you for sure that it's diatom's?

If you wave you had in the water does it float off like dust?

it started off as diatoms , i think dinos might have started as i had stringy brown stuff with bubbles on the ends , i cranked up my phos reactor and adjusted my light times and it has all nearly corrected itself , it was just the left overs around the lobo , that worries me , could it be something else?

Hi Mark Hi Freddie.

Can’t make out a lot of detail there.
It’ll most likely be fine and recover. New tanks and corals are always iffy.


Use caution in over stripping the phosphates Esp if you think you may be dealing with a dino. One of the successful treatments is Po4 dosing.
The gfo will pull out some of the silicate in the water Column and give you some relief from the diatoms yes. But.....

Been a few hours now, lobo looking a bit like a lobo now?
Don’t think we dealing with Dino’s here.
Take a turkey blaster thingie to remove what ever is around the lobo.
