Hey guys I recently pick up a long nose butterfly fish from my lfs. The owner is a real nice guy and never steers me in the wrong direction but he told me that the butterfly shouldnt nip at corals and I just wanted to hear your opinion on this. Ive heard mixed feelings about these fish. So was just curious.

Very nice fish I have one in my tank right now he will wipe out copods fetherdusters and spaghetti worms
When that's all done he moves to acans scollys etc won't eat zoas or sps he will pick on them if food is hiding there but won't kill the coral
I got mine to eat up the spaghetti worms couple weeks ago I had a huge population of those 2 weeks later they all gone he has a copperbaned helping him ones they done I'm moving them to my friends 300g aptasia paradise see how they do with that
They r always hungry fish u can feed them 20 times a day and they still hungry so in my book they not reef safe unless its a huge tank with tons of food running around to keep them busy
