Long Pulse Intervals

Is there a breakdown in an article somewhere on the specific time in seconds in between each pulse setting?

I think most pulses are timed so they send a wave across the tank and it rebounds back before the next pulse. It also depends on what you are trying to accomplish and the length or width of the tank
