Hello, so I’ve been seeing a lot of different people saying the same thing about there long spine urchin, it randomly loses all its spines for no reason then just grows them all back, is it possible this is some kind of molting? I read that urchins don’t molt but would it be possible this one does? Just curious because I thought my guy was a goner until he randomly just started growing all it’s spines back, and nothing taht would of caused it water was perfect literally just the urchin affected.

Long spine urchins do not molt. Often its related to availability of food in the tank, water quality or other stress - but as you've seen - then can shed and regrow. Is there enough algae, etc - for it to eat>
