I acquired an LTA about a month and a half ago. It seems to have acclimated quite well to my tank however, I cant seem to get it to eat. It has only eaten once from my tongs, a finger nail sized piece of fresh shrimp which it greedily stuffed into its mouth about a week after I got it. It reacts to stimuli and seems to grab onto the bits of shrimp I attempt to feed it, only to reject it a few minutes later. The anemone itself is very small with the base being at max 2" in length and the mouth is a little smaller than a dime. Most of the time it can be seen waiving it's tentacles in the flow of the water but sometimes they look like they're going to shrivel up like salt on a slug. My question is, is it imparative to feed it weekly or can it survive off the zooxanthellae until I can find a suitable food?

Also the shrimp was fresh for the first feeding. Frozen for all other attempts after. Will this make a difference?

I never ever ever fed my rbt anything.. Looked awesome and opened about eight inches then one day boom she split for me I feel trying to feed them may stress them

When i feed my rbta i soak the frozen food in the water to thaw it out because mine wont eat if it's cold at all mine is also a pig can feed it every 3 days
