Ive been looking for a gigas for a while now without any luck. May have to settle for a squamosa in my 300 gallon reef tank. Let me know if anyone has ideas

I've been asking around and from what I understand there is no demand for them anymore so suppliers stopped importing them. I remember seeing t gigas and hippopus on LA all the time. Maybe consider a derasa or squamosa, they get pretty big.

Yes I am looking for a smaller one. 3k is out of my range. May have to get a squomosa or deresa instead.

You will not find a small gigas right now, I would go for a blue squamosa. There have been some really nice looking ones popping up recently, it's your best bet for a beautiful large clam.

I've bought clams from Live Aquaria and Pacific East and have had trouble with both of them. The only clams I get to live and thrive are from frag swaps. Id try there if you have any in your area.

There isn't any clubs or swaps near my area. Closest is 3 hrs in Dallas. I'll look on eBay and give it a shot
