I have an AIO 20g cube, couple zoa's and shrooms, will add a BTA soon. The tanks almost a year old, 2 clowns and a firefish, tons of snails and using AI prime hd 16.

I have a bird's-nest now that just isn't taking off and it might be too needy for my care. I don't plan on any more fish or being coral heavy.

I'm just looking for ideas on something to brighten up the top of my tank where I have circled.

I’m no sps pro, but I believe a lot of the higher light corals will be acros. If your birdsnest isn’t growing much then the acros most likely won’t either. But some chalices, stylos, leptos, and montis have beautiful colorations.

Some of the more forgiving but very colorful:

JF jack o lantern

Jedi mind trick

WWC rainbow monti

JF raja rampage

You could also do something like a Blasto or Micromussa.

I have been eyeing the jack o lanterns, I really like that idea, thanks!

Don't know if your wedded to sps but I swear by always having some Green star polyps in my tanks. Its one of my favourite looking corals and has very little in the way of special requirements.

I do have some in my other tank that I could always take a frag from if I can't get anything else to work.

Pavona, does different shapes depending on flow mostly ime, this covers the end of my weir box and shelves out in layers, high flow plus it encrusts well and is pretty forgiving. :)

I might have to try this only back wall, I think I'll grab a frag along with some Jack-o'-lantern. Thanks for that idea!

My tank is not scaped to be viewed from the front (previous pic), this is from the left end and my desk touches the left end of the stand, there is another shelf layer below. ;)

For now I put the pavona in the back right but may move it around to the left back side of my rock formation. That or I may cut some off and do both lol.

Thanks again for the suggestions, hopefully they like their new home!
