So DC pumps have no vibration noises?

i suspect the impeller of your current pump may be damaged or defective, throwing off the balance. if you can get a replacement impeller you may be able to get rid of the vibration/noise for the lowest price/least amount of work.

There is no pump quieter than a red dragon. I literally can not tell mine is running.

Ok I got the braided vinyl tubing but couldn't find any plastic hose clamps. It is a tight fit though. Do I need the clamps?

Yes ! If it above water just use ring clamps . Make sure not to over tighten.

Ok I got one of the metal clamps for where it's out of the water. Cant find a plastic one for the pump under water. Will I need one underwater?

I absolutely agree. I have used Eheim, several models of Tunze, Aquabee, Vectra M1, but nothing can compare to Red Dragon. The new Red Dragon 6 is a little wonder. Completely silent and very powerful.

So I replumbed today and i used about 8 inches of the vinyl tubing and i have to say it cut vibration about 25%.

Ok here in a week or two I'm going to replace my main pump. It's not as loud but I can still hear it. Was the best DC pump for around 100$ or so?
