Looking into a Tuxedo Urchin

I'm thinking of buying a Tuxedo Urchin but am curious what others have to think of them. My main reason for getting one is that I need a mower for my GHA. How many of you have cleared up GHA with these guys? And is a pincushion also a Tuxedo?

I believe they're very closely related. I got an Orange pincushion from AquaSD. It isn't just part of the CC. It's a showpiece.

An urchin is a must have. They are cleaning machines. Make sure your frags are glued down tight. Loose rock and frags are easily disturbed.

I have a short spine? (I believe that's what it is, can't remember) but he doesn't seem interested in GHA. I usually only seem him on the back of my glass. Most all urchins get along okay right?

I tried a sea hare.. my peppermint shrimps killed him the day I put the little guy in.

My tuxedo urchin constantly wore my coral frags as a hat and didnt touch the GHA....he was banished to the sump and seems quite happy there lots to eat

Might not have been a very healthy sea hare.... I have had a few over the years, my go to for GHA and never had shrimp or crabs touch them

Immediately after I put it in, the shrimp swarmed it...

Weird... I have seen a sea hare melt before.... I wonder if he was starting to go and the shrimp went after him.... That would be a
Normal response for shrimp

I don't think it was melting. I had kept the shrimp away from him watching for a couple hours and we was cruising around. I looked for him in the morning and there was a huge rip down its back and wasn't sticky at all. So I assumed he was dead
