Hi there

I am a university student, and I am looking to purchase Berghia nudibranchs for my research project. Unfortunately, I need the species Berghia verrucicornis, which is white with orange-tipped cerata. I have tried looking at getting them online through aquarium supply stores, and they only sell the all-white species, Berghia stephanieae. If anyone has any white nudibranchs with orange tips that eat aptasia, please let me know, I would like to buy some.

Welcome to your new home for saltwater reef aquarium resources and fun! Welcome to the family! :D

I farm the all white variety. I didn't know there was a orange tipped species! I will have to keep an eye out for some to add to my collection!!

Greetings and Welcome! Concerning your query, you'll want to start a new thread with your issue. This is a fine place to introduce yourself, but many times (and I've been guilty of this), some just scroll down and issue their standard greeting. So you'll end up missing out due to inattention to detail.

Welcome to R2R! I also was not aware there is another Berghia species. I don't believe I've ever seen it in the trade. I agree that you should start a separate thread for it, probably in the General Invert Forum. Good luck in your search.

Welcome and glad you joined!

Local to me, this gentleman has sold me berghia that have brownish orange tips. He is also here on Reef2Reef, but I'm not 100% certain if he has the same name here as on our local club site. Perhaps with this link, you two might connect and who knows, maybe if not him - he's very knowledgeable and maybe he can help you find what you seek:

Good luck in your studies & research project!
