How to begin this.... this tank was supposed to be a frag tank for my 150 DD. Shortly after receiving the 150 I found out I was going to be a dad so immediately put the 150 aside and started setting this up while I had the resources to do so. Here’s all the equipment:
-50g rimless RR
-white stand
-Radion Gen3 pro xr30/RMS Mount/Diffuser
-Jebao Wp25 for flow set at W1/S1
-Air Shipped live pukani rock
-40lbs Fiji pink sand
-Classice Neptune Apex
-30g sump with baffles
-Sicce syncra silent return pump
-Octopus classic 110int protein skimmer
-neotherm 150w heater
-Smart micro ATO for Rodi/kalk
-BRS carbon in media bag
-Hang on filter sock holder
-Zeovit 3l Zeolite reactor
>zeovit
>zeobac
>zeostart
>zeofood
>coral booster
>polhs xtra special
>sponge power
>coral vitalizer
>lps amino acid
>amino acid tab
>Phols k balance tab
>pohls B balance tab
>potassium iodide tab
>iron concentrate tab
-live stock
>Fish: Moyeri wrasse and maroon clown
>Corals: CITR red dragon, Oregon tort?, pink lemonade sps, something yellow tip, red month, green and blue poccilopora, WWC golden eye chalice, mango tango monti, two unknown colonies from Gonzo’s corals, PC rainbows, Bugatti chalice, unknown blue/green/purple and yellow chalice, green purple plate coral, Gonzo’s green dragon bounce mushroom, twizzlers zoa, BHBEB zoas, tomahawk zoas, fire & ice zoas, red hornets, Jason fox sunset echinata, teal Goni, interstellar mushroom, green and red snake polyps, Duncan, candy cane, bi color frogspawn, pink Octo, yellow hammer and WWC Barney’s? Bought them at reef ed from their booth as an unrealeased zoa but now looking at their website they look like Mary Janes I just payed a stupid amount for them but oh well my fault they can chime in.
So think that’s all I’ve got for the tank, now for tons of photos. Should have mentioned this tank has been up for two months now. Had Corals in day one of two of zeovit with no issues.

March 4th Adding in the sand and the rock scape. This was the first go. Later on had to tear it apart to get a fish out that was terrorizing the tank.

March 6th After the sand settled I added in all the sump equipment and started zeovit. Could of wired it better but it turned out okay. Sump was just big enough to fit everything in nice and snug but a pain to get anything out for cleaning.

March 9th added in some of my tester corals to see just how good the zeovit system was and added the tabs (first two pics).

On March 13th added more corals in from Gonzo’s corals they were immediately happy!
Want to say that on the 13th I added two grow out contest zoas that MASC was running. BHBEB and Seductions. I came in a close second for the seductions and won the BHBEB with this system being so New using the zeovit.

Here are the @WWC “barneys” but look to me
Like Mary Janes. Love to know what they are for when I do trades though. And sorry for the horrible pic had a really hard time getting my iPhone to take pictures of these zoas. This pic is when I picked it up I’ll post more later.

Tried to mate a lighting maroon with mine and it went bad. This guy was left with two side fins and everything else was completely gone. Fiancé couldn’t look at the tank for awhile cause he was so beat up. I sold the lightning and happy to say right now that all his fins have grown back and he’s fat and happy. Had to pretty much hand feed this guy twice a day so he could get the food.

Yeah haha been in the hobby for 7 years and never done it like this before. Honestly that’s why I waited so long before I did a build thread becasue I was very worried it wouldn’t go well. Without zeovit there’s no way this would of been possible. I have plenty more pictures and updates I’ll get to either today or tomorrow depending how busy I am. Got some great 2 week growth pics that I’m proud of.

The only coral I lost was an orange plate that looked bad in the pics but it was already dying when I got it, I was just trying to revive it and it was too far gone.

These were taken from late March to early April. I’m not doing the best job staying up to date but I’ll get there. Hoping to be getting a frag system set up soon and possible a custom lagoon style 180. Sometimes things just fall in your lap.

Here are some recently updated pics (maybe a month or two old). Having a little issue with nutrients but think I figured it out to using old zeovit media that had been left open to air. Recently changed it out for new media but will have to wait for it to kick in.

I’m not sure what it is. I picked it up from
Josh Gonzales (Gonzo’s corals) before he moved from Colorado. For sure not a garf though. Picked up two colonies he hadn’t named and they are both sexy!

Realized I had some how cut my zeostart dosage in half and had some algae issues. Once I realized and fixed that everything went back to normal. Going on my first vacation away from this tank. Only 4 days but A lot can happen in that time.
