Well, last night it stormed like crazy and apparently it startled my male clown and he jumped(rimless tank with no mesh cover because I'm an idiot). I found him this morning all dried up on the floor :(

He's my first clown fish since I took the dive into this hobby 9 months ago.

Well, I'm more distraught than I probably should be, but now I need to look into putting a mesh top on the tank.

Also, what are my options for getting my other clown a friend? They were juvenile when I got them about 8 months ago and the remaining one is bigger than the one that died so I am assuming the female survived.

I would get a similar looking clown, slightly smaller than the one you currently have... if your LFS has a group of snowflakes, I would avoid the biggest 2 that they have to ensure you don't get another female
