It was the first time in two years.

Jumped up and plugged half the tank into a 2200 watt inverter charger that is connected to solar. When that drained low from the load I had to start my work van which has a 1000 watt inverter hooked to a battery and the trucks alternator.

Everything ended up fine but here is you daily power outage PSA to have a plan! I just got lucky and now it's left me thinking..time to upgrade into a better battery backup system.

Or a propane portable inverter generator… It saved my tank 2x and will run 2-3 days on a single tank.

Just went through an 18 hour outage. My backup only got me through maybe 5 hours of it. My tank is pretty new and I've been having a hard time choosing a longer lasting backup. Thankfully I was able to run an extension cord from a helpful neighbor. I was able to power the whole tank plus a window ac unit.

I got lucky this time!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
