Hey guys just wanted to share. I picked up a new Speedwave DC 790 back in August but do to time laziness and the fact that I was looking at getting a new tank, had not set it up. Well, I figured enough was enough and decided to set it up today. All I can say is WOW. The pump is dead quiet and at 25 watts, you can't beat it.

Comes with its own controller

Currently have it running at 1/2 speed so I figure about 450gph and for a 46g tank I figure that's plenty plus I have 2 Tunze 6055's running which I think the sps will love

About time :) I actually just installed my dc return pump too. And love the quietness as well. Ive noticed my pump doesn't handle the head pressure as well as the tunze pro silence it replaced. Now to swap out my skimmer pump with one :)

Hey Marvin, glad to hear you are enjoying yours as well. I really like how quiet this pump is and my pressure has been really good as I mentioned, I had to lower the speed on mine as I stated to get a bit of gurgling noise but may tinker around with that a bit
