Strawberry conchs (or any small conch) would be good. i have 1 in each 20gal for years and they're happy and keep sandbed turned.

I do agree with others, you already have two damsels (clowns) in a 25g, any other fish (for low maintenance) should be veeeery docile and habitat restricted (think clown gobies with their fav perching spots, maybe small shrimp goby combo?)

I actually have 1 conch in there - and he does alright, but my tank is in direct sunlight - so it creates more algae than most - Maybe the solution is add another conch?

Maybe you're right about the Goby... I wouldnt mind a perching goby.

Why not just add a trident if the whole point of this thread is to get away from testing? I feel it would be your best friend honestly lol… you already got the apex and all sorts of stuff going on so it’s sorta hands off but not Maintence free as you posted in the title.
See above - the reviews of the trident NP are horrible.. I had one, sold it. It doesnt seem reliable - seems more hassle than it's worth - and I'm not dosing anything and have all easy to grow coral, so I dont want to test via the normal Trident... I'd only be interested in the NP for tank stability reasoning.

While I agree that it does sound like the magic bullet - since it's known for its lack of accuracy and reliability, I'm passing.

Do you have a cleaning company? Spraying something in office or tank, air freshener, anti-bacterial, etc.

You can't rule out disease, but we have no way to diagnose.

Low oxygen events (orp is not going to really directly show this) due to reduced flow at night, lights out, etc?

We would need more info to move diagnosis in any direction other than wild speculation.
no cleaning company. I clean the glass tank utilizing windex w/ white vinegar in it. That's the closest a chemical gets to it. I do also burn the occasional candle in my office.

ORP is kind of a joke - it's almost always between 200-300, there seems to be no rhyme or reason, I can't correlate why it goes up or down. Makes no sense to me.

I would never waste money on the np! Those numbers aren’t important to me but a standard trident is worth the money and the numbers you wanna know if anything! Just my 2…
