hello
I have a 75g Red Sea reefer 350. I currently have 2 Kessils 360 we. My whole system is pretty much about 4 months old. I have in my tank 1 large frogspawn with about 12 heads and 2 smaller frogspawns and 1 torch coral. Right not my lights come on at 12:00pm and go off at 8:30 roughly. They start off at 0% color and 5% intensity. They gradually go up to a max of about 15% color and I just started ramping the Intensity to about 15%. But for what I've heard and read is that most people ramp up both colors and intensity more than I do. I've tried doing this but become easily discouraged when I first noticed my corals realising zooxanthallae. Can anyone recommend a proper lighting schedule for my LPs corals? I eventually want to get a hammer coral as well. I also have a gyre which I'm only running it at a pulsing flow with only about 40% intensity. Thanks for you help.

Nice looking setup! I run an A360WE over my 50g cube. My schedule ramps up to 75% intensity and 45% color over the course of 90 minutes then back down over the same period. My lights start at 9AM and end at 7:30P.

When you say you can see your corals releasing zooxanthella, what are you seeing? On a tank that size, you're going to need to increase the intensity (and I'd also suggest color) of your Kessils.

Thanks for your reply and compliment on my set up. I'll post a pic for you here to show what they're releasing. Also, is there a max period of time to run the lights? What schedule would you design if you had my set up? Thanks again!

I love your set up! I run a Kessil 360&160 on my JBJ45. My light starts out and ends at 5% just like yours:)
My lights comes on at 12PM and off by 10PM. I also ramp it up to 75% 45% just like Icecool lol. I have both sps & lps and they seem to be happy with the schedule.

I don't see anything being released in that picture, I just see the heads retracted. That's either because it is dark, they are getting too much flow, or they are stressed. They can release a slime too when they are stressed. Maybe that is what you are seeing?

It's not a great pic
But in between the 2 heads in the center there's a brown string in between them.
I've made adjustments to the gyre as well. They only get a back and forth away from the pulsing mode my gyre is set to.

I just have my stock return pump(s) and 2 Jebao RW-4's.
I would suggest an Ecotech MP40 or a maxspect Gyre for your tank :)
