LPS heavy with over 20% whites?

Great talk and tanks! I’m glad I posted this and got to see all of these tanks.
I see a lot of European aquariums that are a whiter spectrum and look great, all blue looks nice but can be a blur from far away.

I think when I swapped lights to a weaker led with better spread I turned the whites to what I like, possibly to quickly thinking less par they can handle it with less than ideal coral response.

Maybe I’ll build a schedule I like, ramping blue to white and set the acclimation mode a month or so to not shock corals, thoughts?

I currently run a 3 hour white spectrum at 20% followed by all blue the rest of the day. I love that small daylight part looks!

For 6 hours mostly while I’m at work I peak with intensity at 70pct. I start off at 80pct white and then down to 50/50 white/blue by the end of the peak intensity. After the 6 peak hours I ramp down in intensity and go slowly very blue for after dinner/kids bedtime. I have some very cool fluorescent corals I still like to view under blues. My tank is in a living area of our house and the bluer light is not appealing to my wife and I get it. I think the coral does really well with the white light.
Thank you so much! I will have to make another schedule I like more than this and maybe acclimation a month plus so corals can adjust, thoughts? I’m sure it sounds like I change my spectrum a lot but I rarely do 😆

NPS ones.

Sorry i had to answer because you asked.
They like the sun “coral” too…haha. Just don’t use it.

Didn't read every post sooo.. Run the tank however you want it to look as long as the par is where you want it also. I have a small tank with a single AI Prime. I NEED the whites on in the day or there isn't enough par. Looks fine.. Whites drop out during dusk and the blues are on. Gives the tank a different look as the day progresses which is a nice change.

Ok I found ‘reef dudes’ spectrum using the same LED whites set to 60% and looks very nice.
My New spectrum starts 55-60% uv-blue for pop 1st and last hour and half.
Next hour and half royal & blue go to 100 leaving uv and violet at 60 (looks good and is a lighter blue which I like)
Mid day blues stay same white Ramps 30 then 60% ramping down (red 15 green 25)
Schedule visually looks awesome!

I have a month acclimation mode starting 50 reduced. I will not touch for a few months and watch

Any thoughts or debates while I am changing everything 😆 thanks all

You could definitely do a longer peak period than 3 hours. I'd increase the white spectrum as well. But... do it slowly so your corals have time to acclimate.

** I posted this before reading your last post ** I think you have a solid plan moving forward! Keep us posted.

I love the whiter spectrum and how shimmer/fish look but a lot of corals seem to hate it.
My question is who is running a mostly LpS setup with more daylight spectrum or over 25% on cool or warm white? Still keeping coral in its preferred par range?
Can I see photos?

Thanks all
My old IM 40 gallon was running on daylights and had mostly LPS, mainly Merulinids and Lobophylliids. I had two AI primes, both of which ran at around 50% intensity.
