my dad always had freshwater tanks growing up and I hated them because of how much attention he paid to them. As I got older he would show me little by little the intricacy of the ecosystem and why animals benefitted each other, one day I went with him after work to get fish food and we stumbled into the saltwater section and I saw a flame angel and knew I had to have it. Later on that year he surprised me with a 65 gallon tank for christmas and we built and took care of it together for years to come.
