Hey, so I have had this long tentacled toadstool since dec 28. I have yet to see it fully extend. It has gotten bigger that is forsure. It’s sitting beside another toadstool, warfare? The larger toadstool is full open an loving life. Any ideas as to why.
Phosphates 0.25 as of yesterday did a change today.
nitrate 25 as or yesterday

it’s placed on the opposite side of a power head so it’s not taking it full force but it gets decent flow.

Looks pretty extended to me.Nitrates and less so phosphates are a bit high but softies are usually OK with that. Some flow is OK.

I had one couple years ago and it was a lot longer. It’s pretty stiff also like the polyps are avoiding swaying

Could be diff species. When I look at your pic I don’t see a lot more they could extend. Try giving them a bit more flow. That might loosen them up. I also believe it is called a weeping willow toadstool. I have a sim one. Mine gets a lot of flow and is pretty loose.

It’s definitely not a weeping willow but I know it’s suppose to have 1-2 inches of extension. Maybe I’ll get a second from a different store and see if there is a difference. Either way I’m looking for a long tentacle. I’ve never even seen a weeping willow in Canada.

It’s pretty close to what you have so don’t sweat it. It’s just a name. Still a nice looking softie.

MYbe once it gets wider it will have a more noticeable sway.
