It's not as bright as Current Powerbrite bars and it's different. It has more deep blue color and great coverage.

I have a 24 inch finnex strip and they are just as bright as the PB's if not brighter. The downside is they are a little big but they do have a dual brightness, one for moonlight, two for show

I think the IceCap LEDs are very good for moon lights. When I have my T5s on, I hardly realize the LEDs. So I don't think it can't be used as day light supplements.

frags shots are in another thread starting 4th page. link is below.

Well I guess that excludes me from getting these as they will not serve a single purpose over my tank. Thanks for checking them out. Do you plan on keeping them?

disappointing. :(

thanks Benny

I think who ever company starts using Cree leds for our supplement need on these strips will win the war of leds
Only thing will be that it could cost us more because of the cree leds

For example my DIY with 8 Cree leds lighting up my 75g tank

Yes. I will use it for my display tank as moon lights. I wasn't disappointing at all. I thought it's going to be darker and bluer comparing to PB bars. It's a lot brighter comparing to the LEDs I bought off ebay though.
