Dude the acans on the rack how far from the light are they? I know alot of people say keep them on the sand but I have seen some photos and people have them moved up.

They're about 16" from the LED fixture. I've got some up as high as 12" from the fixture that look great, I think the key is to start them on the bottom and very slowly move up observing the color change as you move them.

beautiful acans! i recently got a t1i for the wife (which i secretly am gonna use for myself muwahahah) and hope i can get great shots of my acans like yours!
 
Thanks guys! I've got about another dozen acans or so and some micros sitting on the rack just waiting to be moved to their new home, I hope the new tank comes soon....

No new lens yet, decided go pick up some AI SOL LED's instead. Sandbed is only about 3 weeks old at this point, it'll be all nasty soon enough!

I believe they're just normal acan lords. I honestly can't even remember where I got them, but they're not one of the popular named acans, I just called them that myself.
