M. Digitata care

hi..

after multiple attempts with acro, and the result is always failed (without test my water parameter).
then i bought salifert testkit (no3, po4, ca, kh, mg).

my water param:
no3: 10
po4: 0
ca : 410
mg: 1290
kh: 6.7

pH: 8.9
temp: 28 - 31 celcius

i browse in online marketplace and someone sell M. digitata in frag (around $4)
can i keep this m. digitata with my water parameter like that?
and where should i put in my tank (see my picture below) ?

I would keep it out of premium space if you plan to keep acros or lots of other pieces. It can grow quick and take up a lot of space. Or keep it on its own rock you can move around. As long as your feeding fish regularly I think you should be fine but all you can do is try and see what happens. I try not to focus too much on numbers as long as their in line which you are as long as your not using anything that lowers po4 since it’s low already. Some would say you need to raise it but I wouldn’t get into that.

Should be a-okay. My only concern is that I would request you test for a more accurate phosphate value. Zero is not ideal, but rather ~0.3 is.

But before we go any further, what were the symptoms of the acro's you had before? This would help us identify what may have caused those issues.

Agreed, zero PO4 is a death sentence for sps. How many fish do you have and how often do you feed them? Fish food > fish poo > happy sps.

all symptoms of my acros (tri color acro, deep water acro)
from brown then start to bleach.

im using rowaphos (100ml) and biopellet (150ml) with reactor in my 200L tank.
and sometimes i dose nopox.

i feed my fish twice daily.
and zooplankton once a week.

i have
1 small L6
2 small chromis
2 anthias
1 small damsel
1 medium maroon clown
1 Red Sea anemonefish

I was in the same boat where I had a couple failed acros and went with some digitatas since they were easier. Now I wish I never did. That stuff grows like a weed. Kept unchecked, it started entrusting all over my main rocks and even on the glass. Once my tank was more mature and stable, acros started getting easier and I dont have as much space because there's monti everywhere

i would not recommend running gfo with a carbon source unless you are really experienced at reading Acroporas health and keeping them in a uln system. That could have been your issue last time, seems lots of people have issues when they use too much filtration methods.

Browning of acro's is a suspect of bottomed out phosphates. I would recommend removing rowaphos, and re-consider your use of nopox. I think a lot of positive change would stem from just running carbon. Have you ever done that in the past?

Also consider feeding zooplankton along with your phyto. I will say this, when I started EasyBooster and sps Evo, my sticks took off. You can see growth on a daily basis. Biopellets are usually a gentle way of carbon dosing, just observe your corals.

can KH make my sps bleach?

You need to bring up DKH to a stable 8.5
You need to have trace phosphates, say less than .1
MG up to 1320-1360
PH 7.8-8.3
Else fine.
Keep in mind that solid stable chemistry is paramount.

My montipora looks unhappy.
