If you try to keep a ruby red dragonet and 2 mandarins in a 70 gallon tank (let alone a new 70 gallon) they will likely all starve and die. Even 1 will after a short time IMO.
 
that tank needs plenty of pods and only one pod eater to sustain just one mandarin. I would not try a mandarin or dragonet before 9 months mature
 
yea I am probably going to wait awhile before I add any dragonets
 
Props to you for being cognizant of good husbandry with regards to fish. I think we've all been there with the "I really want a....." especially with dragonets. They're so freaking cool it's tough to be smart about it and wait/say no!

Q: the 3 small holes in the sump opposite the filter holes, what are those for?
