Hey Guys,
Quick question bout macro-algae.. Currently I have 1sping of Dragons Breath a big football sized of chaeto (small spaghetti) and another handful of chaeto (large spaghetti). The tank is fairly new tank and the chaeto and refugium were added to help add bio-diversity to the over all tank and the live rock. The problem is that over the last few weeks or so the macro algae has been deing off. I don't know what is causing the issue. It I turning brown and then dieing off. Is this a nutrient issue?

Is this in the display or fuge? What lighting and water parameters? How long has the tank been set up?

This is in the fuge. The lighting is A 16" fuge ray led lighting. The tanks been setup a few months but still going through the "algae" phases.

I'm also running phosban and roxcarbon in a reactor

Whats the flow in the sump/fuge? The reactors may be robbing the system of its nutrients and killing off the algae.

If your system is low already, then yes, it'll strip it clean for you.
