I have been looking around to determine the species of this macro algae that I recently collected. I would love some help with this, as I have found similar species but photos make them look not identical. Here is some information on it, from personal experience with it.

It is an Atlantic species collected in NC.

It grows year round but much like codium it tends to be more prevalent during cooler weather.

It likes very high turbulence. I have seen it in more protected areas, but generally it is found in true surf conditions or heavy currents.
I have seen it both in tidal areas where exposed to air during low, and in conditions where it is always submerged.

I know alot about the stuff from being around it my whole life, just not the Latin name.

Red macroalgae like these can be difficult to identify, though my guesses would be the following (based on the location of collection):

Agardh's red weed (Agardhiella subulata) (I am more confident about this ID):
