Macro Photography

I do alot of photography on the side and I came accross a video awhile back that made me wonder!

So I used that method, and this is my first picture that I got with it!This is such a CHEAP method to macro photography, if you have a camera body, and a lens, all you have to buy is a $5 dollar reverse adapter and a set of Extension tubes if you want. They are also cheap aswell, for a good set its around $100 or so.

Thought I would share what I came accross and I hope you try it to!!!

Very nice Austin. I bought a set of extension tubes a year or so ago and have never used them...lol. Great shot.

lol....perhaps. I'll shoot you a pm. At least you could put them to good use. And I have a couple of Macro lenses now so I just don't see where I would used them. ;

I've got a nikor 50-300mm lens do you think I'll need an extension tube still?

No, not at all. You could use your lens alone.

Its better to use a non telephoto lens I was told, but I did it above, and it worked out perfectly fine, I also used the 50mm canon f/1.8 for a shot or two, and it done a bit better I will admit. That lens is pretty cheap actully, around $100 bucks, and Im pleased!lol

the key for all this is that the more far away the the lens is from the sensor the closer you will get, with extension tubes. about the reverse ring the optics play some and a zoom lens might work but you will loose some sharpens best way is to use a zoom that is about 28-55 mm or a fix one around that size , also you can use a combination of both extension and reverse but just remember that the closer you get the more difficult is going to be to focus. abot the flash that will help freeze and give you some more light but you need a difuser to make things soft and you can DIY also
