Macroalgea getting stuck in baffles

I’m sure this is a common problem. I just add my first chunk of Chaetomorpha. I have a Trigger Systems 20C sump. And the chaeto goes right into the baffle to the return section. I’m not overly concerned as there’s a filter sponge there so it’s not gonna get into the return but I sort of want it to stay in the fuge and not go all the way there. Suggestions?

I used knitting mesh or whatever it's called. Works well for me.
