Other than a hose clamp ---- what would you use to attach a hose to the intake of a Mag pump? I use a pump for water changes and want to use it to suction out the nasty stuff @ the bottom of the sump. I could just push one over the top of the inlet ---- don't want the hassle of it coming off accidentally .

Any thoughts?

Thank in advance!

use vinyl tubing with a I.D. slightly smaller than the pump. Submerge the end of the tubing in boiling water for a couple minutes and it will slip right on. Run it under some cold water and it will shrink itself on so tight you'll need to cut it off. I do any and all vinyl tubing connections that way and have never had one fail.

hth!
